Heading for Heathrow

The M62 was not too bad yesterday, apart from a short stretch where there were three separate stranded vehicles which resulted in a bit of a delay. Nevertheless we got to the ground in time to say hello to a few friends and have a pint

With so much at stake everyone was understandably nervous and the match was quite tense. And not the friendliest of games either!

An early assault on Macalister for which Tarkowski was simply booked
Pickford trying to help Nunez to his feet, having previously attempted to break his legs. This resulted in a booking too – for Nunez!

Liverpool eventually scored and so the final result was 1-0. Thus the Premier League table now looks like this, with Liverpool’s 12 point lead restored

13 points needed for victory. Our next game is away to Fulham and we will be watching that in Tokyo.

We had done all of our preparations and packing so all that remained to do this morning was to check in for our flight and then set off for Heathrow.

Denis and I are traveling down by train during the day but Anna has to work so she will be coming down much later.

We will be meeting up at the hotel we are staying at near Heathrow and once together I think we can definitely say our holiday has started.

I'm nearly 60 and approaching semi-retirement .... so more time for projects and getting to grips with technology!
